Meet E. Gerard McCusker

For decades, E. Gerard has pioneered and built multiple businesses. Most notable, Mr. McCusker was one of the original architects of Autotrader.com. In his late 20's, and in the infancy of the internet search engine craze, Ed was a highline auto wholesaler. The norm was for car dealers to call on wholesalers to have them buy trade-ins that they would not retail. An example would be a Mercedes dealer trading a BMW, etc.. Wholesalers would commit to a price they would pay for the potential trade so the car dealer would know they already had the trade-in sold prior to trading it, therefore keeping the cash flow going. "I heard a radio commercial for Yellow pages at one point and started thinking that it would be possible for dealers to go to our site and put a potential trade info and instantly find the buyer without the hassle of going to an auction or contacting several dealerships or wholesalers for a firm buy figure" Manheim Auto Auction was the big player in the auto dealer world at that time, they had just been acquired by Cox Communications, the parent company to Autotrader Magazine. Manheim saw the value and also probably feared that Dealerwholesale would chisel away at their profits. Dealerwholese had grown quickly, securing over 2,000 dealers withing 6 months, that was when Cox wanted to acquire Dealerwholesale. After that, McCusker consulted on numerous other online platforms looking to build out their model. Eventually, Mccusker started multiple other venture. One was an all-natural weight loss aid that was endorsed by Jennifer Lopez (J-Lo) and was sold in GNC stores nationally. He went on to launch National Debt Relief and that was a huge success, eventually he was bought out of that company. Next was PerformTex Products which manufactured Sports Therapy products sold nationally by Dick's Sporting Goods.
